Dave Downing Talks About Analog

Analog:It's written in our DNA. It's woven into the fabric of our constitution. It was in Trevor Andrew's first Analog I-Pod jacket and it's scratched on the bottom of Nathan Fletcher's 4-fin. It's the ultra-thin thread that ties together surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. It's the fearless voice calling you to Liberate, Unify, Mobilize and Resolve. It's non-digital, low-technology. It's the new elitism. It's Analogic. Since the beginning of the action sports market, influential kids have gravitated towards progressive and creative movements within snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing. Analog is a clothing company born in outerwear, raised at the beach and entrenched in cities everywhere. Analog is an invitation to take a stand, make a point, challenge a value and open a few minds

Nope

Greg Dakishyn and Trevor?  NOPE.

What about the Bush Bros?  Jason Brown?  And Jeffy Anderson was way more involved than Trevor.  Give 'em there due.

Nope

Who's the Bush Bros?

Greg Dacyshyn and Trevor Andrew were actually the two that created analog outerwear ,

Jason Brown wasn't involved with Analog, but yes Jason Brown and Trevor were apart of 7 at that time.

Jeff Anderson did ride for analog Outerwear.  at that time analog was just a outerwear component of Burton.  and Jeff rode for Volcom streetwear.  Jeff was involved with some designs for sure, but Trevor was by far more involved in the early stages of analog outerwear.

That's hilarious.

When I was buying Analog for my shop, The rep sold it as the "new Twist" by the same guys, (Bush Bro's) plus Jeffy A., Jason Brown, and Trevor.  Maybe also Chris Brown and then Romain?  I dunno.  Same thing at SIA.

So now the marketing angle has changed?  So much for roots and authenticity.  I thought Dave rode for Burton at the same time?  Didn't he back Trilite or AK or something?

Roots

ahh,, trent and Troy.. yes the bush bro's were contracted as designers for analog back then,, and worked with Greg.

Analog marketing hasn't really changed, but they are saying the same thing in 3 sports now.

i'm involved with Analog, but never rode for analog,  and yes your are correct that i rode for AK/Burton.

cool, what shop did you work for Smile
